October Saturday Oct. 3 Time to Break the Silence A two mile walk in remembrance of victims of Domestic Violence 10:00 a.m. Starts at Montrose United Methodist Church and ends there. Refreshment - 12:00 p.m will follow. Organized by the Susquehanna County Alliance of Faith and Advocacy Sunday Oct.4 FUNDRAISER 10:30 a.m. East Coast Biker Chick's 3rd Annual Fall Charity Ride. Registration from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Electric City Harley Davidson, Dickson City. Ride begins at Noon. Return to Quaker Steak & Lube for food and entertainment. Live Music by The Fuzzy Park Duo! Tuesday Oct. 13 An Empty Place at the Table Exhibit- Local 6:00 p.m. IHM Center at Marywood University. 6 pm family time and 7 pm prayer service open to public. Refreshments following prayers Saturday, October 17, 2009 - 8:30PM to 12:00 NE Social Dance Club will conduct a benefit dance for WRC at the DAV Hall on Storrs Street, Dickson City. Admittance is $5.00 with complimentary snacks, coffee, tea, dessert and cash bar. 50% of the proceeds will be donated to the Center. Once again, professional licenses cosmetologists will donate their time and talent to the Center by providing haircuts at a cost of $12.00. The money that is raised will provide shelter and new lives for many battered women and children from our area. If you are a licensed cosmetologist and would like to donate an hour or two of your time on Sunday on December 6, call Bert at 346-4460, ext 211 close
